He’s also in the Guinness Book of Records as the most tattooed man on the planet. He only has one tattoo (his own words) but it covers his entire body (including the inside of his mouth and ears) and it has multiple layers. He had thoughts about the most tattooed men and women ever since he was a child but he didn’t think about becoming one of them until he got his first tattoo, a small juggling club on his hip.

Lucky Diamond Rich was born in New Zealand but currently performs as a chainsaw juggling, sword swallowing entertainer in Australia. he has spent more than 1000 hours getting his body tattooed around the world, but he was not satisfied, so he opted for a black ink covering his entire body. He is now getting white designs on top of the black and colored designs on top of the white. I guess he really a work in progress, just like he says.

The three-dimensional crystalline structures in the wing cases of pachyrrynchine weevils are arranged hexagonally, in a similar way to how crystals are arranged in opals.

Weevils (such as this Pachyrrynchus beetle) have a different method. The scale patches are made of photonic crystals, as seen in the next image...

This electron micrograph of the tiger beetle shows a reflector band (arrow) - where thin layers of tissue with different refractive indices have been laid on top of each other. The spacing of the layers causes different colours to be produced by constructive interference.

Floating Market At Thailand

This is the best known destination in Ratchaburi where timeless lifestyle of native Thai people can be observed along the canals. The Floating Market, approximately 400 metres from the Damonen Saduak District Office, operates every morning till noon. Boats can be hired for observing close-up canal side villages and boat vendors.

In floating market you can rent a boat to go around the canal. The price is not fixed, it's around 300-400 baht per boat.

A lot of stuff is being sold on the boat everyday. Most of it is food, fruits, vegetables and souvenirs.

Most of the tourists in the early morning are Thai people. The boats go along the canals and you can ask your oarsman to stop to buy some stuff.

Schoolgirl smashes the world record 25 snails across her face

Snails face: Tania smashed the previous record of 15 snails set in Australia while the most she had had on her face before was nine.

She smashed the previous record of 15, held by Australian Liam Kenny, and her unusual feat will appear in the Guinness Book of World Records. Her previous personal best was just nine.

The rules state that competitors have just one minute to put the snails on their face before tipping their head forward for 10 seconds.

Tiana, of Alvanley, Cheshire, said: "I am not squeamish. It is relaxing but it feels a bit cold. They are quite smelly and you can see their big long eyes facing you. I think my friends at school will say 'urgh'."

Local vet Ken Robinson witnessed the attempt and ensured no snails were harmed. He said: "It is a superb achievement and all the snails have been treated to a gourmet meal." Tiana said her next ambition is to become an Olympic gymnast.

Setting records runs in the family as Tiana’s mother, Tommy, herself appeared in the Guinness Book Of World Records in 1980 for growing the largest lemon in the world weighing 3Ib 14oz..

New Species Found in Remote Asian Sea?

A square jaw and edgy brow give a distinctive profile to this boxfish, one of many exotic marine creatures recently found by scientists exploring Southeast Asia's Celebes Sea.The international team of researchers recently returned from two weeks in the Celebes, a little-explored sea between Malaysia and the Philippines that is home to one of the world's deepest ocean basins

The team found several species that are likely new to science, Madin added, including a swimming sea cucumber, a black jellyfish, and a spiny orange worm with tentacles growing out its head.

Experts will be studying the hundred specimens brought back from the expedition to determine which species are new discoveries.

Absent Nature is the exhibition of designer Arik Levy at Wright20, New York, Chicago. The exhibition included Fractal clouds and Log series. The fractals clouds are made of thousands of light tubes one of my favorite materials. The tubes were made into one light-emitting textile. And the Log series are made of blackened wood, mirror-polished stainless steel and stainless steel mesh giving a sense of weight and raw power derived from forms of nature.

This installation in Dresden Germany by artist Hannes Broecker is brilliant, each wall frame is filled with a different adult beverage. Stacked in the middle of the gallery are glasses, and the visitor walks up to the various artworks and fills their glass from a tap on the bottom. By the time the event is over, the frames are empty.
